Souls Of Mischief – 93 Til’ Infinity

This is one from the archives but still easily one of my favourite hip-hop songs of all time. It was the title track from Souls of Mischief debut album that reached #85 in the US charts when released in, you guessed it, 1993. What makes it catchy as hell is that the beats are predominantly based around a live bass and obscure jazz and funk samples.

Souls of Mischief consists of four members (A-Plus, Opio, Phesto D and Tajai) and is a subgroup of the Oakland, California hip-hop collective group Hieroglyphics.
